Described by The New York Times as “a breath of fresh air,” the nationally acclaimed Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Company combines the grace and elegance of classical ballet with an eclectic repertoire of sharp new works by some of the world’s foremost choreographers.
The planned program will include Jorma Elo’s “Red Sweet,” set to music of Vivaldi and Biber; “Sue’s Leg,” with choreography by Twyla Tharp and songs by Fats Waller; William Forsythe’s classically inspired “Slingerland”; and “Noir Blanc,” a crowd-pleasing, surreal piece by MOMIX’s Moses Pendleton, featuring black light, optical illusion and lunar-like projections.
